The Hydrogen Epoch of reionization Array (HERA)

The Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA) is a project in the Karoo Radio Reserve of South Africa, built in a collaboration between the US National Science Foundation (led by PI Aaron Parsons at UC Berkeley) the ZA National Research Foundation, and the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO).

  • 11/30/25 Our latest paper just posted on arxiv! These are early results from our 6th season (2022-23), with two weeks of data from ~138 antennas, representing only 10% of the sensitivity we expect to be able to deliver after processing more data. More to come!
